OM I C R ON
A solo project in reflection and acceptance of all that may be in an individual body in relationship to self and the guise of world scope in its overwhelm and intricate, sometimes playful, nuance. Returning to nature is the greatest gift we can give ourselves, as it is the prime teacher. This serves as an expression of gratitude for life and it's teachings through observance of all that is and the journey which brings us back to our grounding in who we really are and remind ourselves to continue to be, understanding how the attention we give and the choices we make may influence our path.
No Introduction
A production highlighting the effects of colorism and societal norms of beauty and how it influences our individual experiences within the black community, using our exploration on the topic to redirect our focus on how we can shift our perspective to see ways in which we can reflect, connect, and share ourselves in celebration of one another. All in collaboration with the beautiful Arielle Pina and joined in a talkback with The Electric Lady Series. With music by Will Collela and program and postcard design by Maxwell Vanhook.
